Beacon Family Services (BFS) is a not-for-profit, therapeutic family support agency, based in Birmingham, supporting children and young people’s social and emotional wellbeing. We help children, parents, carers, and teachers build strong connections and healthy relationships through tailored, play-based therapies and training alongside our self serve resources; Cards to Help You Connect and lumin&us app.
We provide one-to-one and group support to parents and children to improve their mental wellbeing, self-esteem and reduce stress. Experienced therapists use ‘Theraplay’ a clinically supported way of engaging children in fun and meaningful play.
We are specialist in providing support to families – particularly those with neurodiverse children, adoptive families, care leavers, refugee families, families experiencing trauma including domestic violence and families struggling with challenging behaviours.
