Earlsdon Library
We are a community library based in Earlsdon, Coventry. We became a registered charity in September 2018 charged with developing a new model of working; 50% community-focused and 50% core library services. We have since created “The Reading Room” – a new multi-purpose space which can be used as a meeting area, events space, somewhere to access computers, view films etc.
We have a wide demographic of library users and members of the community who we think we could offer something to but we’re not sure how to reach them. We have been unable to engage with large groups of people during the pandemic to tell them about our new remit as we have been severely impacted in terms of opening the building and being able to show people what we have to offer. We are the last safe space on the High Street; a local hub where everyone is welcome. We are passionate about meeting the different needs of our local population and feel we have a unique opportunity to do so.
